Dear Audrey,
My wife and I express sincere condolences over the passing of your loving father, and pray that you and your mother will get help from God to overcome the pain and sorrow. Your father and mother were good friends of ours and frequent weekend hiking group members while they lived in the Washington, D.C. area. Together we enjoyed many sceneries in the country sides and mountains in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. We miss your father very much. He was a very kind person and a good and intelligent talker. With our utmost sympathy, Gene Sang and Youngran Rhee

Dear Audrey: The Mallery Family mourns the passing of your father. My dad, George Mallery, has always spoken fondly of his great, life-long friendship with your dad. They supported each other throughout their long, pioneering careers. Your dad was a man of God, devoted husband/father, loyal friend, & a brilliant engineer. His legacy lives on through you. We wish you and you dear mom, Mrs. Roh, comfort and peace. “Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine unto him”

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mother. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your father.
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Your father was a wonderful and proud person who touched the lives of many while in Seoul with USFK and KUMCGW in NOVA. Your father’s life was a true blessing, and his memory will forever be a source of inspiration.
It is the time for us find strength and solace in the memories.
We know his love and guidance will forever be a part of you, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
As a close friend, our hearts ache for you and your mother during this time of loss.

Sigmund Roh, or Dr. Roh, and I got to know each other and became friends in our early 40’s, but his passing away makes my heart ache the same as that of a life-long friend. With his unfailing friendliness, sparkling humors, and genuine generosity, he always made others feel special and happy. His deep professional knowledge and profound patriotism made him a model citizen. Now I miss him dearly but I know he will remain in my heart always. I and my family wish his soul rest in peace in heaven and Mrs. Roh and Audrey be heartily comforted. Jonggoo Park & family

My wife and I give our condolence to Mrs. Roh and Audey.
I have spent time to look at the old pictures taken with Mr. Roh, which are stored in my computer after I heard the sad news.
He was a one of my close friends. He was a dedicated member of our small group, called Little Lamb Sok(어린양속), of Korean United Methodist Church of Greater Washington. Despite a long distance, he and Mrs. Roh attended the small group meeting. One time he introduced a hymn "여기에 모인 우리" to become our small group's song. In 2011, we had a chance to travel to Costa Rica as group tour members. It was really memorable trip. Mr. Roh made several enlarged photo prints mounted on cardboard and gave to me. I have kept those pictures. I think I will remember him whenever I see those cardboard mounted photos.
I believe he now rests in Heaven peacefully.

As his niece, the memories I remember of Uncle Sigmund was when my parents, Sang Gyok Lee and Bong Ryon Lee, visited Uncle Sigmund and Aunt Joan when they were living in Transylvania. I heard from my parents that they had an amazing time at a fancy party in a castle, where they got dressed up. I always knew Uncle Sigmund as hard-working, highly intelligent, well traveled, articulate and quick to smile. The times we had family reunions were filled with laughter and yummy Korean food! Uncle Sigmund was a loving husband and father, who adored his children. Even with the immense suffering I imagine he went through with the passing of my cousin Phillip at such a young age, he continued to show light in his life and live with love and grace. I was blessed to have known Uncle Sigmund.
