Mrs. Solle was one of my Brownie & Girl Scout leaders and taught me so much about sharing, caring, camping, & camp tacos. She also caught me once or twice singing a few camp songs I shouldn’t and only would say”Tisk, tsk, Dorian, Dorian, Dorian.”
She was always so patient with us when teaching us a new camp skill or how to make hand churned ice cream of the 1970’s.
I would see she & Mr. Solle in Nob Hill together shopping like my parents did many years ago. She was my nurse in 1986 when I had my first born and I was so glad she had the smelling salts when I went down during my first time walking.
Between Mrs. Solle & Mrs. Shaw, they spurred in me a love for scouting I still have and hope to give my granddaughters.
I couldn’t say thank you to her enough for all the memories she made for me and life lessons I have taught 100’s of other Girl Scouts. I’ll love her forever.
