Dear family of Lupe Velasco Ortiz,
I am so sorry to hear of Lupe’s passing. I first met Lupe In high school, we were in the same class and graduated together at Hollister Hi...(Go Balers!)
The last few class reunions our class of 1950 had, Lupe was one of the workers that kept things up to date and made sure all the I’s were dotted and T’s crossed. Her son David was always there with a camera to make sure class photos were available.
There is another Angel in Heaven, and she and her husband are enjoying a wonderful reunion together, and with those that passed before.
Rest well, Lupe, you are missed ♥️

To David, Gloria and Sylvia, I just learned today of your mom's passing. You have my most sincere condolences. She was a great one. You are so blessed to have the heritage on both sides, the Ortiz's and the Velasco's. I also want to offer my condolences to your two uncles and hope they are okay, especially Raymond. My life is so intertwined with both sides of your family and I hold dearly those memories for all eternity. God bless you all.

Dear Gloria, Sylvia and David,
Our history with your family goes back 50 years ago when we first moved to Hollister and had the privilege to meet the Ortiz family and become good friends ever since. Your Mom was the most warm caring person that everyone who knew her loved her. She always asked about how family and really cared about their welfare. Lupe and I became even closer when we taught together at Calaveras. Lupe had a special way with children. They knew she cared about them and would respond to her. We sat together at many social events in Hollister and also at church. She took beautiful care of Paul when he was ill. Lupe and Paul shared their love of golf for many years which they enjoyed together. Your Mom will be missed by your family and many others. She was a beautiful person.

Gloria, Sylvia, David and family of Lupe,
We are shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved mother. We had just seen Lupe at church last Sunday. Your mother was such a caring and loving woman. She was ALWAYS so sweet in caring as to how my mom was doing. She was one person that my mom always wanted at her birthday celebrations.
Your mom was SO VERY thoughtful. When our son passed away she came right away, bringing food to share. Her kindnesses will always be remembered. We will truly miss your mom. You are and will continue to be in our prayers.
