My uncle John lived across from us since I was about 5-6years old. I saw him every single day. He made my life better and I was beyond lucky to have him as my uncle and also to live right across the street. He passed 5 days before my birthday and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Words can’t describe how much I miss him. I miss everything about him, even the moments where he’s mad at you for saying no to another chocolate ice cream cone and whispering under his breath at you about how mean you are haha. I was blessed to be able to help care for him in the last years of his life. Even in those moments of being overwhelmed or frustrated, I would do anything to have that back. You don’t always realize how much you miss a person and even the things that can drive you crazy haha. He made bad days better, lonely days less lonely, and made you more appreciative over the little things. I think of him everyday and I miss him every single day. I hope he knows how much I love him and he’ll always be in my heart. He’s the best uncle I could have ever gotten and I wouldn’t have traded him for the world. I miss you uncle John and I love you more then I could ever say.

Wonderful memories of spending time at the Renz's in Gilroy and Nino playing the guitar. You are now playing and singing with the Angels in Heaven Nino. Thank you for lighting up the earth with your smile. Our condolences to the entire Renz family. God Bless! The Pattersons

Johnny always had a smile for everyone. One of my fondest memories was Johnny always calling me Dove instead of Doug. Debbie reminded me of having a cake at one of my birthday parties saying “Dove” instead of Doug.
Love and condolences to all of the family from both of us.

I will never forget helping to teach John to swim at the pool at GHS through a program with Gateway. I was paired up with him... took about 10min to talk him in to getting in and then to get his face in and he was off to the races. He taught me alot.. very capable of everything just in a different way. He will be missed. With us in spirit may he rest in peace.

Such sweet remembrances to reflect on of John. At family gatherings he was always the first to greet me, then sit by me and hold my hand. I was not the only lady that he did this to, he loved everyone and made them welcome into the Renz family fold. John will be dearly missed...
