Dear Shirley Horn's family,
Tom and I have known your Mom and Jim for many years. Years ago we were in the Hollister Dance Club together and sat together at many Hollister functions . Your Mom was always pleasant and smiling. Jim was also full of fun especially on the Exchange Club's trips to Reno and Lake Tahoe. I just saw your Mom a week before she passed away having lunch at San Juan Oaks. She will be missed by her many friends and acquaintances.

My condolences to the family of Shirley Horn. Your mother was truly a beautiful lady. She had a smile that would light up a room. I met her several years ago when we would be working out at the gym. Shirley and her husband and my mom took a few cruises with Friends Forever. My mom always spoke highly of them, how they would look after her during the trip. I would get a kick out of how Shirley would affectionately call my mom , “mom”. Whenever I would run into her at the store Shirley would always ask how is “mom doing “. Her kindness was always appreciated. My prayers for you and your families .

My prayers go out to Shirley’s family. She was a great friend when I lived
in Hollister and we’ve kept in touch every Christmas chatting about our year until this year when I didn’t hear from her. She talked about her wonderful children each year and I always told her how much I missed receiving her amazing array of Christmas cookies she gave as gifts at Christmas. I’ll miss hearing from her in the coming years. Love and blessings to her family.
