Obituary of Andrew Paul Nichols

Andrew Nichols passed away suddenly on June2, 2017.

He was born in Cortland, NY on May 18, 1962 and came west with his parents when he was 2 months old. He liked to say he attended college before he was even born.

Andy was the eldest son of Betty and Tom Nichols, and is survived by his parents and his brothers Chris, Ben and Mike Nichols, along with Chris's wife, Christina Nichols and Mike's wife, Sarah Creighton. He was a loving uncle to Zack, Sam, Dunnavan and Dylan.

Andy also leaves his adult children Thomas and Kiersten Nichols and his loyal friends Tim Casimere and Theodora Tsakalakis.

Andy graduated from Silver Creek High School, where he played water polo and performed with the marching band. Upon graduation Andy attended San Diego State and San Jose State, where he majored in business and sports broadcasting.

Andy went on to a long career in the food service industry, most recently working at UCBerkeley and at AT&TPark during the SF Giants home stands. He was a life long Giants fan.

Andy enjoyed playing golf and was known for his long drives which often caused him to play into the green from two fairways over. He was proud to tell that his one hole-in-one during a celebrity tournament netted him $10,000.

Andy will be laid to rest in Hollister, CA. He will always be in our hearts.
