I worked with Bob for many years when I worked for Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA. San Benito Foods was another company under the same umbrella. Bob was the nicest, most professional gentleman, with a great sense of humor that I have had to honor of meeting. . I so enjoyed working with him. I was so sad to see that he had passed.

Bob was an industry pro...in the plant, behind a desk and on the road selling. Loyal, honest and hardworking, Bob was always able to communicate his objectives to his audience effectively.
Bob operated the Sun Garden cannery in San Jose during the infamous 1975 harvest when raw tomato deliveries spiked 20% and trucks were lined up over a mile along Monterrey Road. Though I was just a recent high school graduate, I remember Bob keeping his cool as the trucks kept rolling in then told me "I'm here to run the tomatoes your dad sends me"...Class Act!
Bob later enjoyed a long career at San Benito Foods working for the Neil Jones family, then as a restaurateur in Downtown Hollister.
While working for Sun Garden, he would often tell me of his dreams of one day opening a local hardware store. By the time he retired, Home Depot and others had eliminated that possibility. It's comforting to know that he was able to fulfill his dream as a restaurateur, baker and community advocate in the town he loved so much.
Job well done Bob Stevens. Rest in Peace.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Bob a few times in person, as we worked for the same company but I was in the corporate office in Vancouver, WA. Bob was one of the kindest and most respectful man I've ever met, he was easy to talk to and always talked to you as an equal even if our positions where totally different (his position was much, much higher than mine).
I often thought about Bob and will continue to keep Bob in my prayers.
May he rest in peace.

Sheila Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more free comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com
