Dear Karri's Family,
A few months ago, I was sitting in my car in the Walgreen's parking when I heard a cheerful voice call out, "Miss Susie? Is that you?" I looked over at the next car and there was Karri getting into the driver's seat. She was a wonderful surprise to my day. Karri cracked me up greeting me with a 'Miss'.
Counting that day, I encountered Karri twice since we were teenagers bumping into each other on South Street once upon a time. I don't recall our teenage conversation, only that when we parted, I felt cheered and encouraged about life. Karri left me with similar feelings after we talked about our bodies' crazy pains that day at Walgreen's.
I will always think of Karri as having a gutsy attitude with a sweet smile of unconditional love. I imagine her spirit is having a joyful time soaring through the universe.
My condolences with much love to all of Karri's family: her children and grandchildren; Billie, Nasa, Judy, and Mike; and Karri's extended family.
