Dear Auntie Violet,
I've dreaded this moment forever. In our close family, we lived, loved & never thought about living without you guys.
Thank you for caring for us instead of letting us go to strangers, for baking cookies for us to frost, decorate and take home; thanks for keeping me when Mom and Dad went to Tahoe-when Uncle Arthur took me to the grocery store and the taffy pulled my loose tooth out TY Tooth Fairy-then took me to San Jose and got my birthstone necklace!
Most of all, THANK You, Uncle Arthur and Tim for showing Logan the love his Grandparents didn't live to. It means more to me than ever known.
I'm sorry for not getting home once more; C19 canceled it. I wanted to pick you up one more time to hear your laugh.
I'll love you forever. Until we meet again, enjoy all who've been patiently waiting.
Love,
Nancy, Logan and Lincoln

So sad to learn of Violet’s passing, your ready Smile and beautiful personality are tucked away in many childhood memories especially growing up on Fourth Street & College. May you rest in peace.

I am sorry to see another great person from the good old days pass on. She protected many of us while crossing 4th Street. Art and Violet were hardworking and humble people. I wish there were more like them in our town and in the U.S. today. They will be so blessed in the hereafter. Tim, Bill, and Bob, my sincere condolences.

So very sorry to hear of Violet’s passing…She was a forever memory at her corner come rain or shine she was always on the job. I met her when Billy and I started kindergarten and she was a wonderful lady. I’m sure she will be the best crossing guard heaven has ever had!

Dear Auntie Violet,
Thank you so much for not only being my Aunt, but for taking on the job of my Godmother, and as an adult, treasured friend and secret keeper. We shared so many special moments together. Whether it was baking cookies, listening to Italian music or sharing beautiful memories of Gammy, Papa or my Dad, we always smiled because our hearts were full of love. You lived hard and with your whole heart. You may have been small and quiet, but you were also a mighty little force!
Your family was your world and you were the center of their universe.
There is a huge hole in my heart that will never be filled because you were one of the last precious links to my Dad (I know how much you missed him. It’s just one more thing that we shared).
Rest peacefully with all our other angels Auntie. While you may no longer be here, our love for each other will never die.
A special “thank you” to my cousins for allowing me to spend as much time as possible with your Mom. It meant everything to me.
I love you!
Gina

Always at the corner walking kids across the street before and after school. Art and her are 2 of the nicest people you could ever want to meet. My condolences to Bill, Tim, Bob and the rest of the Borges family. May she rest in peace.

I remember Seeing Mrs Borges multiple times a day at the corner of College and 4th Street as the crossing guard for the school. Always gave a wave and a warm smile, great lady. My condolences go to Bill and the entire Family.
