Jaclyn and I met in a midst of us growing into better versions of ourselves . We would talk for hours , getting to know each other ,and sharing memories of our life . She always had a smile on her face even when things were tough . I was lucky enough to be roommates with Jaclyn during our first year of recovery together. She was always so silly and never failed to make me laugh. The spirit and energy she brought into every room she entered is indescribable and I’m more than blessed to have had her as a friend. I will never forget her contagious smile and her beautiful spirit. She was always there to lend a listening ear with no judgement attached. To say she made a difference in my recovery and my life is an understatement. I will continue to cherish the journey we went on together and the memories I get to share with her. I love you Jaclyn. Jaclyn, the girl who seemed to know everyone, was one of my closest friends. I’m sure a lot of people consider her to be their best friend. She had so much love for people and I always admired that. I was more shy and reserved and she would tell me that I needed to be nicer to people because you never knew who they would be one day. I’ve experienced so much deep belly laughter with her. Every time I came to her house my favorite thing was when she would greet me with a scream of excitement and squeeze the breath out of me with the biggest hug. Many of my fondest memories were adventures with her, spending time outside with our faces to the wind, sitting in sunlight, and just smiling. I loved her so much and she loved and accepted me for who I was even during times that I didn’t really like myself. She was the type of friend that would tell you what you needed to hear, even when you didn’t really want to hear it. The pictures attached: her birthday party, a time where she wrote on my arm, and long boarding barefoot in the neighborhood with her and her brother.

All of these pictures are from Summer 2015 in Costa Mesa, CA. We were roommates at Sure Haven Treatment Center, and became the best of friends the second we met! This girl had such a beautiful, radiant, caring, kind, positive personality, and her smile was always so big & bright! We spent our time together dancing everywhere we went, doing cartwheels through any park, singing "679" by Fetty Wap together, hanging out in the hot tub every night before bed, and laughing so hard that our stomachs hurt.
You'll be so very missed Jaclyn! Love you always! I am sure you're flying so high with the angels right now because everyone knows you were a complete angel here on this earth! Rest Peacefully, beautiful girl! <3

My condolences to the Quintana family. I first met Jaclyn at Ladd Lane elementary school when she was in a talent show and she danced her heart dressed as pebbles. She did such an amazing job and was a natural talent at a young age. We later crossed paths again in high school when we were both in a dance team. I was inspired to see her grow and become such a talented dancer. She always had a smile on her face and I was always excited to see her new dance routines. I know wherever you are right now, you are dancing and being the light of the room. I will never forget all the good laughs and awesome memories you gave me and many others. The bright light Jaclyn has passed from this world and made it a little bit darker. Jaclyn and I were friends in middle school, and I’ll never forget that big beautiful smile of hers and amazing laugh. Her smile lit up a room and her energy was unmatched. Her love of dance was so cool to me and I always thought she was so funny and sweet. We grew apart in high school but Jaclyn always stayed the same: she never judged people for being different. She was open and loving and kind and she will be greatly missed from the world.
