It's been a tuff week saying goodbye to our mother but she will be missed tremendously. We loved our mother and she was a good woman. She helped everyone and kept the family together. Bye for now

My sincere condolences to all in the family. Aunt Nico made her family a big part of her life. Despite living in other cities she always made it a point to attend family gatherings and events and it always meant the world to see her familiar smile! She left me with lots of memories that I appreciate her for.

Mom you were always there for me and my kids your whole life. You were our biggest protector and always wanted the best for us. You helped me raise my two kids and you were my sidekick through life. So lucky to have you as my mom. We had so much fun together as a family and l will love you forever. My heart is broken and l will miss you forever. How do you say Goodbye to your mother? She was the center of our family. She will always be in our hearts. We all loved her dearly. I am so happy that we had a great Thanksgiving together with her at our house this year. She loved being around her grandchildren.
I will miss my Wednesday lunches with her. Maureen and I enjoyed taking her towards the coast and spending time together.
I am so happy that she got to travel the world with my mother in law Debbie who passed in 2013. They visited all the continents together except Antarctica. If there are destinations in Heaven I am sure I am sure they are planning their next trip.

I always remember the new years eve celebration when we all played cards against humanity and Nicki had to read and say a very naughty word. She read it in such a funny and natural way, everyone was rollin'. I almost peed in my pants. Loved her!!

Great Grandma, I will miss you dearly. I still remember when you would come visit me while I was in college in Bellevue, Nebraska. We would visit the casinos and play the slot machines together. And then driving over to Grand Island and seeing the family was always a blast! Wedding hopping won’t be the same without you. I love you. I’ll be seeing you.

Our deepest condolences to everyone. Aunt Nico was an amazing aunt . I so remember as a kid when she would come to GI . And it was the greatest thing ever. Whether it was for one of Uncle Mikes parties and just to hang out with grandma Isabel . What amazing energy she had ! And what commitment to family she had ! In 2000 she met us in Las Vegas to witness my marriage to my Jen . I’ll never forget that . Always so kind and understanding and very wise and witty too ! We LOVE YOU AUNT NICO ! I can’t wait to see you again , along with everyone else . Maybe in heaven I’ll be able to cut the rug with the best them ? May God bless your family and you find comfort in these words ….

Nicki always sided with me when Dianna was giving me a hard time na na na! My Aunt Nico was a very loving Aunt, she loved her family so much. She also was a loving sister to my mom, calling her often and sending her flowers for different occasions or get well wishes. She would fly from California to Nebraska during the summers for special occasions or to just a visit. When she was not able to fly alone her daughters and son-in- law would bring her. We are so thankful to our cousins for bringing her to Nebraska to visit. The last time was very special, we got to visit some of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Aunt Nico I love you and I will never forget you came to my wedding in Nebraska almost 30 years ago. You made that day extra special and my mom’s. I know you wanted to come to my daughter’s wedding in July of this year but with health concerns it was not advised. Just the thought that you wanted to there was special to me and my daughter. Your love is and will continue to grow, I see it in your daughters and that love of family will live on. Thank you Aunt Nico for all the memories and the times we went to California to visit when we were younger. Love you and you will not be forgotten! Roger and I have so many wonderful memories of Nicki.
When we first met, she brought us a beautiful Lenox frog.
A keepsake I proudly display in my China cabinet.
At family gatherings, Nicki was always an unassuming but commanding presence. She was the center.
Her kindness, warmth and acceptance was always felt and her dedication to family was always present.

We will miss you so much Great Grandma. Thank you for always being there for me. We will love you, forever.
I know you’re in heaven with your parents and siblings now. I hope you are all dancing. You would always tell me about how your Dad was such a great dancer.
Remember when you took Christiana and I to Arizona to visit Uncle Eddie and Aunt Argie? On one of our nights there, lighting struck the tree outside and it caught on fire. You always got excited remembering that story.
