Ed was such a gentle kind hearted man. He has a fun sense of humor if you were not listening to him you missed it. Loved watching the giants games with him when he came to visit Shirley. He loved his bbq hotdogs pool side when we would enjoy BBQ’s. Ed always loved walking down to our house to see our Christmas and Halloween decorations. He truly loved his family and Shirley’s friends. I’ll miss that beautiful smile, sense of humor and big hug. We will always be thinking of you so many memories. Deb and Sid

Dad was a very special person in my life. I kinda adopted Mom and Dad as my second parents. They always treated me like their 'other' daughter. Dad always gave me words of encouragement, a shoulder to cry on and when needed a good talking to as well.
Dad didn't know a stranger just a friend he hadn't met. I know that he and Mom (Emma) are together again looking in on their beautiful family.
Thank you so much for being my Dad especially after my own Dad passed. I love you with all my heart.
I pray that Terri, Richard, Steven, Shirley Ann and Keith know how blessed they are to call you "Dad".

So sorry for your loss. Eddie and Emma were such good friends to many. I didn’t know he came to town the same time my mothers family did in 1947. Eddie did carpentry for my mother throughout the years and she was very fond of him. My mother was a dancer so her and Eddie would “cut a rug” occasionally.
Your dad was an awesome man and now they are all dancing in heaven! God bless your family.

Ed was my next door neighbor for 16 years. You couldn’t ask for a better one. He was quite involved with everything I did. He would often come visit when I was in my garage and he always had a joke or word of encouragement. He was there when we remodeled our house and he kept an to make sure the contactors did things right.
When he went out of town he would ask us to watch his house and he would always joke saying “nobody should be carrying anything out of the house.”
He was there when I got married and he became a great friend to my wife. He always invited us to different get togethers like the 4th of July and he treated just like family.
We truly miss him and are so much better off for having known this wonderful man.

To Steve and family of Ed : Sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I got the chance to first meet him when I was working for Hollister School District. He would always stop by to say hello whenever he was at the school site. If we ever had a question about having a problem with sprinkler system or other things at the school, Ed would be there and give suggestions and then make sure that the problem would be fixed. He had such a distinctive and infectious laugh. His face would light up. I enjoyed seeing Ed at church and have a little chance to visit. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Emma and Ed were my second parents. They "adopted" me when I moved to CA and became friends with their son in 1986. I didn't have family in CA, so I spent many, many holidays with them. They opened their hearts to me and their home to me. I'm truly blessed to have known both. Ed's smile and sense of humor will forever shine bright in my memory. He will be missed!

I was lucky enough to work with Ed at the Hollister School District. A lovely and talented man. He once made a cat scratcher for me when I asked for scraps of carpet so I could attempt to make one. We had that cat scratcher for years! He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
