I remember her as Anne Dawson, I very nice person who didn't look down at her students. She was relatable as one of us. By the time she was my teacher she had morphed into Anne LaForge and my teacher for Sophomore English at Douglas High School. English became one of my favorite subjects because of her. We could sit and talk with her one on one as an equal. I still remember the gist of a conversation I had with her. When she became pregnant, she unfortunately left us. For the second semester that year we got a very nice young "student teacher" who the boys promptly ran out town by being mean. It's been 60 years, but I still remember her as being one of the genuinely nice teachers I ever had. She was the best!!! Rest in peace. God Bless You and your family. I was glad to see that she also attended a Santa Scholastica school -- like my mother (even though they were different times and places
