My condolences to the Salinas family and friends. I first met Rebecca's husband several years ago and since then he had a funny comment as to my height, he called me "el arbol". He was a very kind man with a good heart. I'm sure he will be missed but not forgotten due to his warm smile and good humor.

Dear family
We thank our good Lord that Sal is now in heaven and no longer suffering. Sal is in the company of his dear parents and all the family and friends in heaven. We are left with memories of how he touched each of us in a different way. Our earliest memories start with Sal and Rebecca having their wedding reception in our backyard. Later as Sal and Rebecca became parents and our families grew we became compadres. That bond lasted through the years and we were always glad to see Sal. He was always laughing and welcoming.
Sal kept in touch with his compadre Felipe and called to talk to his compadre even toward the last of his illness. We really appreciated his thoughtfulness. Sal was a part of our life. He will be missed but we will never forget him.

I met Sal for the first time when I was 11 years old. Ever since he married my sister Rebecca, he has had a presence in my life. This has been over 60 years. Sal was always happy to see you. I remember his smile and his funny stories. He was very generous and if you went to his home his hospitality was immediate. He made you feel special. He loved people and everyone loved him back. Sal will be be missed. My sincere condolences to the family, To my sister Rebecca, my nephew Sal, and to my beautiful nieces, Grace, Jackie and Becky I send my prayers and love. His journey was rough but now at last he is at rest. God be with him. Love Gloria

Rebecca, Grace, Sal Jackie and Becky
It is with great sadness that I write these words of Uncle Sal. He was a big presence in my childhood. He took me on my first motorcycle ride which I absolutely loved. He took me just about everywhere that he took you, which to this day I am truly grateful for. The best trips were to see your grandparents and your aunts and uncles in Gilroy. Uncle Sal had a big heart which filled my little heart as a child.
Our deepest sympathies to all of you.

Rebecca and family,
Sorry to hear of Sal's passing. I know that his health was not good the last few years. May you all find peace in knowing that he is no longer in pain and suffering. May Sal rest in eternal peace.
