Philip I am so sorry about your Mom(Auntie Gloria). I would hug you if I were there.
Lucy, Rachel, David, Sarah, all Gloria's family and friends my sincere and heartfelt condolences.
I have nothing but wonderful, happy, joyful times with Auntie Gloria while staying with her and Uncle Jess whenever visiting California. What a lovely woman my Aunt was. Telling stories, laughing, cooking, being with family was what Gloria loved.
I so enjoyed every moment being in her presence.
I will carry in my heart for always, warm and wonderful memories of Gloria.
I love you Auntie.
Your great niece from Canada,
Margy Babcock

Gloria lit up the room with her joy and love. She means so much to my Mom and our whole family, she loved us all and we love her. Her jokes were the best, it was always a pleasure to spend time with her whether in person or on the phone. Whenever I think of her I smile but now there’s a tear in my eye, I will miss her a lot.
Her and I shared a mutual admiration of Leo Buscaglia aka Dr. Love one of my favorite quotes of his is
“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.”

I will miss Gloria, she was always so sweet to me, her gift of Gab will so be missed and her hugs too. She's the last of the old Walnut lane people. Growing up here in Hollister, I can remember spending a lot of time on that Lane and going to R.O. Hardin or Dunne Park and playing pick-up baseball with Mike Ortiz and the many other kids around the neighborhood. Gloria made sure we were always doing the right things and would be quick to correct us. I know she worked for my mom and dad at the hotel and restaurant early on. Who could forget Fashion Cleaners, Jess and Gloria made a good team. Gloria was a beautiful and warm woman. I will miss her dearly. I am so thankful to have these fond memories. She was such a lifelong dear friend of my mom's. She now will be welcomed by her two Jess' and many family members and friends that have passed on. My sincere condolences Phil and to your family and to Jesse's family also. She was such a great Lady! May she be blessed to come in the morning of the First Resurrection!

My sincere sympathy for the family of Gloria. She was such a good person and I loved to visit with her at the cleaners when I worked at Wapples . We connected because she was from Sault Ste. Marie Canada and my Grandma was from there also. May she Rest In Peace.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Gloria's passing. We met Jesse and Gloria when we moved to Hollister in 1997, we only used Fashion Cleaners because they did the best job in town. Both were so welcoming and it was always a pleasure to go into their store. Gloria always had fun stories to tell us, she was so very proud of her boys and her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Once she retired we would bump into her at the grocery store or around town and she was always so happy and cheerful. Now she is reunited with her dear Jesse. Rest in peace Gloria.
Sincerely, Paul & Carol Feisthamel

Dear Phillip & family,
Pete & I are so sorry for your loss. Your Mom brought so much joy to us, as well as many of our Walnut Lane neighbors. She was our unofficial welcoming committee whenever someone new moved into the neighborhood. We cherish our memories of Mrs. Ruiz with love. Thank you for sharing her with us.
Mrs. Ruiz, thank you for the many conversations, for the hugs & sage advice. I love you & miss you, but I know just how lucky heaven is to have gained such a spunky, beautiful little angel. I pray heaven has Coffer Crisps. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
You are all in our prayers.
