Obituary of Maxine Gomez

Maxine Gomez passed away on March 18, 2021 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in Hollister, California at the age of 91. Maxine Gomez was born October 30, 1929 in Silver Lake, Kansas. Her family moved to California when she was a child. She graduated from Gilroy High school and was in the band. Maxine Nadine Ramer married Peter John Gomez in Hollister on August 17, 1947. She worked at Teledyne McCormick Selph, as a purchaser for over 30 years. She volunteered as a 4-H Leader for many years with the Santa Ana 4-H Club. Her hobbies were cooking for her family, knitting, leather work and reading books. She had dogs her entire life. She focused on breeding Collies and Pembroke welsh corgis for many years. She is survived by her husband Peter John Gomez, daughter Pamela Andres, (Peter, husband) of Huntington Beach, CA, son Peter C. Gomez of Hollister, son Robert A. Gomez of Hayden, Idaho, daughter Raquel Pereira (Tim, husband) of Hollister. She also is survived by grand children Jennifer Foster, Michael Andres, Lea Pereira, Roger Pereira, Heather Pereira, and great granddaughter Devynn Foster. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Mae Ramer, brother Richard Ramer, and great grandchildren Colette Foster and Troy Foster.
