Obituary of Myrtle Jane Bettencourt

Myrtle Jane Bettencourt of Hollister, CA, was born on May 2nd, 1942 and passed away in her home on August 5th, 2016. She was a resident of Hollister since 1944. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Dodgin, sisters Coleen Contival and Lena Wilson, brothers Billy Joe and Melvin Dodgin. She is survived by her children, Diana Wirtz (her husband, Doug and their children Austin, Danielle & Carson), Greg Bettencourt (his wife Jennifer and their children, Meghan and Luke), Tanya Renz (her husband Todd and their children Holden, Gavin & Owen), Sister, Joyce Bowman, Brother-in-law, Jeff Contival and numerous nieces and nephews. Myrt was considered the pillar of her family and was very much loved by all. She will be greatly missed but will leave many memories that we will hold dear in our hearts. A celebration honoring Myrt’s life will take place at 1:00pm, on Friday, August 12th, 2016, at Paine’s Restaurant 421 East St, Hollister.
