Twenty plus years.....so many wonderful memories of a special friend. Clancy was always there to help....any time, from working on my tractor, helping build my fire pit , many years of facilitating dr. appointments, being there for emotional support in life altering situations..for me and family alike. Clancy was
was kind and loving to my grandchilden always going the extra mile building stilts, fixing motorized cars giving them their first experiences on his horses. He was cowboy at heart, desiel mechanic, loved the opera, telling stories,
and human beings. He was the most well rounded person I know. He introduced me to his specialty drink a "green horn".....which we shared regularly.
Anything I say falls short of how grateful and blessed I am to have had special time with him. Clancy I miss you already.
you will never be forgotten..

Sorry to hear about Clancy he was a great friend of mine from the early 1950's we used to ride horses in the gymkhanas and rodeos. Clancy rode for the Irma Robertson riding club in Oildale CA.I rode for the Jim Fleming Riding Club at the Old Fairgrounds in Bakersfield. Clancy was a fierce competitor always riding to win. We both went to Bakersfield High School graduating in 1955. Happy trails my dear friend you will be missed. Trenton Spears

I was saddened to hear about Clancy’s passing and so grateful that we were able to visit with Clancy and Nancy in early December. It was an enjoyable visit at Linda’s & Mary’s home.
I will be forever thankful for his helpfulness to Sister Linda and his generosity to her son Josh.
I will keep him and his family in my in my prayers.

With sadness, my last memory of Clancy was December 5th, 2020 - where we sat at the counter in high back chairs at my sister-in-law’s home. While having a couple of cocktails, we were reminiscing about our child hood days in the 50’s and 60’s where he traveled the Rodeo circuit in California, Arizona, & Nevada. He was telling me how he used to ride the Bull’s and just shake-off the hurts after being thrown – reminding me that he healed a lot faster in those days! Clancy was always talking about ranch work and his Cowboy dreams!
These seemed the fondest memories of his youth and he had a never ending list of tales about those days. I will certainly miss him and his country boy ways. His work ethic and simple philosophy about relationships always impressed me!

I had the privilege to spend an evening with Clancy earlier this summer. He had so many jokes and invited me into his beautiful home! He had a lot of amazing stories! He introduced me to his two beautiful horses and let me feed them! He offered to let us ride them one day! I am so grateful I got to meet you! It may have only been an afternoon, but your memory will live on forever in my heart! When we meet again, I hope to hear a few more stories and jokes! <3

I had the wonderful privilege of meeting and spending an afternoon with Clancy earlier this summer. His laughs and jokes were infectious and I loved how he would call me a "A looker" He opened his doors, shared his home, and introduced me to his wonderful horses (who have since passed). Clancy, even though I only spent one afternoon with you and Nancy - you left an imprint and memory that I will remember forever.
