I met Whitney in 1978 when we attended the same private Christian school, he was my older brothers best friend, so naturally he was like a second big brother to me. He was a big guy with a sweet quite gentle soul to me, his best buddies little sister. Be at peace my sweet dear friend ... until we meet again.

So when I was still a little baby my nana and mom told me that my uncle was able to hold me in just one hand. I don't remember but I can picture it perfect. I've always seen my uncle as a strong and corageous protector. I think this was why it was really important for me to just hold his hand when I went home to say my goodbyes. I'm at peace with our departure and I thank God he gave me that time.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I met Whitney through our employer, Hayashi Wayland, a little over five years ago. He was a very smart and determined person. Kept us all in line and out of trouble. We will miss him dearly. The last email I got to exchange with him was very faith strengthening. He shared an old Egyptian saying: "may you walk in the hand of God for the remainder of your life". I'm convinced Whitney knew that, should he fall asleep, he would be in the best place anyone of us could be... God's perfect memory. He will treasure Whitney's good heart and we will see him again. Sending many prayers your way. (Acts 24:15)
