Our deepest condolences are sent to Eva's family. I knew Eva when I was a young girl. She had a beauty shop at my grandparents on prune st. Luigi &Teresa Filice. I'm pretty sure she was my first employer..she had me clean the brushes and she'd pay me with a lollipop. Eva always came to check on my grandparents after she retired with a plate of goodies in hand. She was such a beautiful good woman who will be mised.

Thank you so much for remembering Auntie Eva, Kimberly. AE checked in with everyone, and never forgot anyone. She is definitely missed.
What was the address on Prune St.? I used to pop in and see her there, but couldn't remember as I don't recognize anything there now.

For the first time we can recall there have been
ladybugs all around the house. Native Americans
say it's the spirit of past lives. It felt right that this
came out when I sat down to play the piano.

Miss Eva was our friend and neighbor for many many years. She was a wonderful friend to my mother and always very sweet to me. When I was younger she’d come over and teach me to bake cookies. I still have her recipes that I use every Christmas.
She will be greatly missed by many

Thank you Kathy Kelley-Carter. Auntie Eva baked a lot of cookies and pies for her friends. Thank you for remembering her. This is Tim Sugishita, one of Auntie Eva’s nephews. My Mom was her older sis by two years.

You must be Virginia’s daughter? When I’d walk across the street to talk with her, she’d always ask “How’s Miss Eva?”.

Yes, I am Virginia’s daughter. They were friends for many many years. Eva lived by us over on the west side of Hollister and then when my parents bought house on Cedar in 1973 she was again our neighbor. She was always such a wonderful friend and neighbor
