Obituary of Juana R. Trujillo

Juana R. Trujillo passed away at her Hollister residence surrounded by her loving family on November 12th, 2020 at the age of 97 years. Juana was born on March 30, 1923 in Watts, CA but lived in Hollister until the age of 10. Her family moved to Mexico where she met her husband Rafael. After about 16 years and 4 children, they moved the family back to Hollister and had 3 more children. They were able to celebrate 73 years of marriage. Juana had 7 children, Elvia, Sergio, Isidro, Margaret, Olivina, Armando and Ruben. She also had several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She knew all 4 generations of grandchildren and they all loved her very much. She worked at the cannery in Hollister until she retired at the age of 62. She loved music and would have the radio on all day long. Her favorites were the older Spanish ballads and mariachi music. She loved to go shopping, when she was able. And one would never see her without her lipstick and earrings. That was very important to her. Juana is preceded in death by her son Isidro, son Ruben and her husband Rafael. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 18th, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, November 19th, family and friends will meet at St. Benedict Church at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
