Obituary of Pamela Ann Carreiro

Pamela Ann Carreiro, 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Hollister, California on October 23, 2020. She was born on July 30, 1947, in Riverton, Wyoming. She married Melvin D. White in 1970 and together they welcomed three “beautiful” girls into their family. Her girls were her world and she told them so often. There was never a doubt of her love for, or devotion to, her daughters. As a talented seamstress she enjoyed making them matching dresses when they were little, and unique to each outfits when they grew older. She filled her home with homemade treasures that expressed the beauty with which she saw the world. She would marry her true love, David I. Carreiro, in San Juan Bautista, California, on December 28, 1996. With this union she gained a son, Manual D. Carreiro, and loved him as her own. She had a huge heart and loved wide and out loud. She was an advocate for the underdog and went out of her way to lift others. She has had a huge impact for good in lives too numerable to count. She was an artist favoring many a different medium. She was a seamstress, a photographer, and a gardener. She drew, crafted, and canned. She would become known for her ability to transform sad, forgotten dolls into works of beauty, often giving them new life and love in the arms of many a little girl. She enjoyed genealogy and connecting her family trees throughout decades of time. She loved the stories of those who came before her and shared them often. She had a wonderful sense of humor that helped so many people smile especially during hard times. She was the friend you knew you could count on for anything at any time. She loved all living creatures and I dare say they loved her back. She changed the world for the better. She is survived by her beloved husband, David I. Carreiro; her daughters, Lisa Lyn Allred, Leneigh (Insoo Hyun) White, and Lesley (Mike) Mollard; her step-son, Manual D. Carreiro; her brothers, Richard (Linda) Sinner and Bob (Clare) Miller; her sister Brenda Vidrine; her granddaughters, Melissa (Beau), Morgan, Megan and Isabel; her grandsons, Zachary, Dylan and Ivan; and many nieces and nephews, some through blood and some simply through love. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Ekman Burden; her brothers, John Sinner and Bill Miller; and her son-in-law, Ryan Allred. Funeral services will be held and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hollister, CA on October 31, 2020 at 11:00. A viewing will be held at 10:00 prior to the service. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Hollister, CA immediately following the funeral services. There will be a Zoom broadcast available for those who wish to attend, but cannot.
