Obituary of Ted M. Martinez

Ted M. Martinez, 86, passed away on October 19th 2020 in Hollister, CA. Funeral services and burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery on October 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Father Heibar Castaneda, of Immaculate Conception Church in Tres Pinos officiating. Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson will be handling the funeral arrangements. Ted was born in Colorado to Enrique and Eufemia Martinez on May 20th, 1934. He went to Gilroy High School and then entered the United States Naval Service. He worked as a Boilerman/Mechanic for Garden Valley Foods until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, artistic drawing and viewing military historical documentaries. Ted is survived by his daughter, Monica Sanchez, grandchildren Frank Sanchez, Natalie Sanchez, Jared Sanchez and Joshua Sanchez. Grandchildren-in-laws Adrian Ruedas and Elizabeth Andrade. Beloved pets Pancho and Kimmie. Sisters, Henrietta Razo, Ruth Ybarra, Laurie Peterson, Carrie Alvarez, Nellie Casarez, Mary Guevara and Eva Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy V. Martinez and son Teddy C. Martinez. Brothers, John Martinez and Henry Martinez and sister, Nancy Jaurigue.
