Karen, Your mother was such a wonderful woman, always smiling and so kind, whenever I would see her in the library working with my mother. I saw her 20+ years ago at my mother's memorial service, and she was the same wonderful woman I knew as a child. Blessings to you and your family. Amy Carpenter O'Leary

Dear Joan, Mary, and Karen, my sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. I can still remember when you all moved in two doors away from my family. In my mind's eye I can still see your mom washing the front windows of your new home and saying to myself, boy she sure is pretty! We were so blessed and fortunate to live and grow up on 5th Street, great memories, good times, and great neighbors. Joan thank you for setting a great example of your love and service to your mom.
May you all feel the comfort of our Heavenly Father knowing that He will take good care of your mom and there is a wonderful grand reunion going on in heaven. Love you all, Mitch and Julie

My condolences to the Pivetti family. I have very fond memories of Mrs. Pivetti, both at the library and the time I spent at your Fifth Street house when I was classmates with Karen. I always loved going over there. I hope all your wonderful memories give you comfort.

I first met Mrs. Pivetti when I was 5 years old and got my 1st library card. My Mom took me in and left me off (imagine doing that now) in her care to get my card and pick out my 1st selections. She so kindly walked me through the whole children’s section helping me pick out her favorites. What wonderful memories that day and twice a week after that for so many years following that. She was a beautiful classy lady who helped open a child’s eyes to the amazing world of books. My thoughts and prayers are with you all...I know she was thrilled to be reunited with your equally wonderful Father.

To Joan, Mary and Karen...it seems so strange that at 71 years old I am writing a tribute to an Auntie...My Auntie Jean...in so many ways a very special person in my life...I have talked plenty about those special dinners on Fifth Street...pork roast comes to mind...Your Mom and Uncle Edwin invited me often to dinner in my single days. What a treat...and, of course cocktails and a glass of wine...and, I want to also include the many amazing times I had with Uncle Edwin...breakfast at the Ding-a-ling cafe...many times already his second breakfast of the day as he often would wake up in the middle of the night and make breakfast at home...and the crazy times on the golf course...and visiting Auntie Jean at Ridgemark occasionally for a martini...She was the most loving person with an infectious laugh...amazing smile...kindness like no other. Now, all of us shall embrace the many memories...as she is the last of that generation in Hollister...Of the Pivetti clan and their spouses (Auntie Erma of course) (Aunt Toots) from Cienega. I miss all of them so much...and, now it is on to the next generation lead by cousin Chuck...
I send a huge embrace and loving heart to you girls and all of the family...my Auntie Jean...a life well lived.

To Joan, Karen, and Mary, there are so many happy memories I have of your Mom and family. Growing up together at Auntie Belle and Uncle Ernie’s home, the stories of cutting apricots, the Thanksgivings spent together when I was little, and going to the Public Library after school to visit your Mom. My Mom’s and my thoughts and love are with you during this time. I will always remember her and her wonderful laugh and kindness. With love, Carolina and Bill
