Obituary of Tina Larae Shoffner

Please share a memory of Tina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tina Larae Shoffner passed away unexpectedly on August 21st, 2020 at the age of 52 at her Hollister, CA residence. She was born In Sparta, Illinois on October 30, 1967 to Doris Arlene Shoffner and Floyd Edward Shoffner. She graduated from Coe College with a degree in Business Administration. After 20 years she finally married the love of her life, Kelly, on September 21st, 2019 because she never minded “waiting on a woman” – (Brad Paisley) A country girl at heart with a love of God, Jack Daniels, and the New York Yankees. Tina was the life of the party wherever she went, whether it was at a restaurant singing a country song with a table of strangers next to hers or at a bar where she made everyone inside feel like they were her best friend, she was anything but shy. Tina was one of those once in a lifetime people you meet that make you feel blessed to have known them in your life, she would give you the shirt off her back and whom you could call any hour, day or night. She had a smile that made instant friends, a personality so big it filled up a room, a heart full of love for her family/friends, and a faith so deep it could weather any storm. She considered everyday a blessing, no matter how bad she felt, she would smile saying “I can do anything, I’m a Shoffner” or “I’m good as gold”, “don’t you worry about me.” She created memories with many that evoke tears of laughter and bring a fond smile to your face. If she were here today, she would say, “Prop me up beside the jukebox-I want to go to heaven, but I don’t want to go tonight. Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand. Let my headstone be a neon sign, let it burn in memory of all my good times, I’ll be the life of the party, even when I’m gone.” song by (Joe Diffie) Her spirit continues to be carried on by her Wife Kelly Shoffner, Daughter Amanda, Daughter-in-law Sara Zenner, her sons Daniel Hohn and Michael Hohn; Brothers David Shoffner and Floyd Shoffner. Sisters Patricia Gleghorn and Barbra Wilson; Nieces Maya Shoffner, Teaisha Douglas, Kristin Shoffner-Carothers, Deanna Kilpatrick, Melissa Shoffner, Nicole McBride and Brandy Corbin; Nephews Myles Shoffner, John Walker, Mikell Shoffner, Marcus Banks, Marcus WIilson and extended friends and family.
