Obituary of Edward Dean Lucas
Edward Dean Lucas passed away at his Hollister residence on July 17th, 2020 at the age of 68 years.
“Eddie Dean” was born on June 15, 1952 to parents Juanita Elizabeth Lucas, and Raymond J. Lucas. He grew up in a large family with four sisters and four brothers in New Idria, California; a place he always held dear to his heart. He attended San Benito High School, and was drafted at 18 to join the Army where he served his tour of duty at Fort Greely Army Base in Fairbanks, AK.
He got married in 1983 to Christine Miranda, and they raised their five children together in Hollister Ca. He was a loving father, a proud veteran, and he will be missed greatly.
He leaves as his legacy five children: Damian Lucas, Amber Lucas, Nicole Lucas Kangieser, Justin Lucas, Brandon Lucas, and seven grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory seven siblings; Leonard Lucas, Larry Lucas, Daryl Lucas, Mary Bruce, Tina Morales, Linda Lippe, Rosealee Camera, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Juanita Elizabeth Lucas, Raymond J. Lucas, stepfather Barney Cruz, and brother Philip Lucas.
Due to Covid-19 a future date will be determined for services to be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
