Obituary of Linda Joanne Sanchez

Linda Joanne Sanchez passed away unexpectedly at her Hollister residence on June 8th, 2020 at the age of 66 years. A long-time resident of Hollister, California, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Tony Ruiz, and her husband, Rudy Sanchez. She is survived by her three sisters, Debbie, Diane, and Lorraine; her three sons; Rudy of Hollister, Jarrod and Jason, both of Fresno; and her eight grandchildren, Rudy Anthony, Samantha, Jennifer, Aidan, Isaiah, Sebastian, Isabella, and Christopher. Linda was born and raised in Gilroy, California and graduated from Gilroy High School before moving to Hollister. As a girl, she and her sisters rode horses and competed in local rodeos. After settling down to raise her three sons, she became one of the few female truck drivers in the local area, often working alongside her husband who was also a truck driver. During her lifetime, she shared her love of horses, her down-to-Earth sense of humor, and her hope for a better tomorrow with her friends and family. She laughed and loved with all her heart. A viewing will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17th, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, June 18th, family and friends will meet at Calvary Cemetery, 1100 Hillcrest Road for a Graveside Service at 10:30 a.m.
