Obituary of Alejandro Adan Guajardo

Alejandro Adan Guajardo was born on June 9, 1991, in Templeton, California. He was often referred to as Alex, Hondo, and more lovingly Hondie, by his close family and friends. Alex was known to be very playful and mischievous. At the age of three, his family moved to Mexico where he attended an International School and became fully bilingual. He was the interpreter for the Spanish speaking teachers and English speaking students. Alejandro learned early on how to turn up the charm and conn his teachers into allowing him to leave class. He used his time to wine and dine his little girlfriends at the school cafeteria on his parent’s dime. Hondo loved playing pranks on those closest to him. One of his daily rituals was pinning down Sara and Noe for vigorous kisses. Other times, it was for Noe to tickle Sara as they giggled uncontrollably. Alex would often jump out and startle his mom when she least expected it. He loved teasing people and making them laugh at their expense. With the flash of his handsome grin, however, you couldn’t stay mad at him for long. He made inappropriate impersonations that made you laugh when you knew you shouldn’t. Alex was rough around the edges but had a tender soul under his layers. He would give you a hug that made you feel the very essence of his full love. His hugs were legendary! Alex was a man of many talents. He worked in maintenance and was an avid fisherman. He loved the outdoors, including agriculture and horticulture. Hondo was a master of “late-night cooking” and could make a meal only he could dream up. One of the best meals he ever cooked for his family was when he caught Rock Cod from the Santa Barbara Harbor while visiting his sister in college. He cleaned and prepared it alongside appetizers, side dishes, and dessert. We will so miss his savory barbecues and delicious meals! At a young age, he was intuitive about how people felt. Even as he just learned to walk he comforted his dad by hugging his leg, sensing that he was hurting from the loss of a loved one. At the age of seven, again sensing his dad’s sadness he somehow knew his dad needed his love. It was the beginning of August, and it had been the first anniversary of Alex’s grandfather’s passing. He had the ability to comfort family and friends when they needed it most. His daughter Noe Rose has inherited that same gift. Hondie was fiercely loyal and protective of those he loved. Alex was your “ride or die.” But his love ran even deeper for the love of his life, Sara and his two baby girls Noe and Naia. Hondo felt honored but unworthy of Sara’s love and devotion. Hondo knew he hit the jackpot when he found Sara, as she had a profound impact on his life. Sara was his rock, his anchor, his guiding light. Now as he is on the Other Side, he will have his chance to be her protector and be the light to guide her and his daughters through life. Alex is survived by his parents, Tom and Cindy Guajardo, sister Chantel Guajardo Russell, brother in law Christopher Russell, his loving fiance Sara, his beautiful daughter Noe Rose, soon to be born daughter Naia Ren, grandmother Aurora Collins, uncle Frank Gomez, the Schnekenburgers including Bill, Robin, Sarina, Sofia, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We don’t think Alex really knew how much he was loved and appreciated. He knows now. He taught us how to love unconditionally, how to forgive and forget, and how to be in touch with oneself and spirituality. Hondie has now found the peace and tranquility in the arms of God and his family of angels.
