Our hearts go out to Bill, Emily and Alan with families.
Carol was my American mom when I came to Hollister in 1993. The family took me in and gave me the best experience possible. Carol introduced me to American baking and showed me around town. My Swedish family is ever so grateful to her for picking me up and moving me from a not so great family to the best possible one. She had a calm and relaxed persona and was always hospitable and generous to everyone that she met. Carol was a lady of great humour. I miss her every day and still remembers her great expression "Whatever!" She went well and beyond to make me a part of the Millar family. She will be dearly missed from all of us in Sweden who had the joy of meeting her.

"our hearts go out to Bill, Emily and family" Carol was a great friend to our family and she always had a smile when she seen us. We have too many memories to share, but this one memory tells you what a kind and wonderful women she was. Our family had wanted to take a small vacation in December. Well, living in the country that is no easy feat as we have livestock that needed to be checked on and cared for. My sister and I thought about this and we both said if she would do this kind task for us, we would feel most comfortable to be away for a few days. Being the kind women that she was and her ability to always help my sister and I out she agreed to feed and check on our livestock. She came out to the ranch and she got the feel for what she would be doing for the next couple of days. We had an older Queensland Heeler dog, that would need to be given a little time so as to not be so lonely. On the tail end of the trip, Carol gave us a call and said that the weather in Hollister was bitter cold, and she would like to get extra food for our dog. We had plenty, but on the last leg of the vacation our dog would have to eat dry dog food as opposed to the canned food with the dry. She asked us where to buy the Merrick Dog Food and she would drive down and get some more. Everything was well tended to when we got home. She even checked to see that we all got back home too. I didn't find out till the next day from her family that Carol was not comfortable with horses, but she took the job and did a real fine job with the animals. We knew that she must have really liked us to accept this task. Forever in our hearts, Love The Vigna Family we will miss our dear friend Carol.
