After that, she was a loving niece/daughter/care giver to her Uncle Gary Young and mother Judy. Julie loved to travel. As a child, there were many trips to Reno and Lake Tahoe with her parents, brother and grandmother. She humorously bragged about being on stage "twice" with Wayne Newton. She also enjoyed cruises and Reno bus trips with her aunt and cousin. She loved the beach, especially trips to the Hawaiian Islands. Julie loved to cook, bake and garden as well as attending concerts and going out to dinner with her girlfriends. She always helped out her friends and neighbors, giving them rides to the airport, doctor's visits or hospital appointments. She especially had a love of animals, adopting many cats and dogs. If she wasn't adopting, she made frequent visits to Pet Friends and the SPCA in Monterey. To all those who knew Julie well - She held two very special titles, "Princess Julie" and Cousin Julie". Julie is survived by her mother Judy Medina; brother Greg Medina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was especially fond of her littlest cousins: Sienna, Stella and Roman.
