I meant Clay when we both worked for the City of Hollister. He was a true source of encouragement and such a kind, caring person. When he walked into City Hall he lit the place up. I especially delighted in hearing a story of one of his children. Love and prayers to all the Lee family.

I went to SHS with Clay and played football with him. He would kick off and wore a shoes that had a flat toe. We called him "The Boot ." What a kind and sweet spirit Clay had. Always with a smile on his face.

I had the privilege of working with Clay at the City of Hollister for almost 14 years. I will never forget what a nice person he was and his great sense of humor. He was the only one who called me "Babs" at work and it was because when he met me and asked what I preferred to be called, I said, "anything but Babs." That was Clay! My heart goes out to the whole Lee family...what wonderful memories you have made together.

Clay was a great neighbor. He was always friendly with a generous spirit. I enjoyed conversing with him about issues of the day and especially the ups and downs of our favorite pro and college sports teams. One story that highlights his generosity was when he appeared and spoke on my family's behalf at a County Planning Commission meeting, to support our effort to install a swimming pool in our back yard. We hardly knew him at that point, but he offered advice about how to best make our presentation. The commission's decision was unanimous in our favor! I also have a fond memory of when he asked me to stand in for him one time to coach the rec league basketball team that Trisha and my son Joe played on. The team was so well prepared that I hardly had to do anything but cheer them on to victory! It was a testament to his coaching skills.
On behalf of my family, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Mary Ann and family on the passing of Clay. He was a wonderful person and he will be greatly missed in our neighborhood!
