Obituary of Lynn Veree Rosellini

Please share a memory of Lynn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lynn Veree Rosellini died peacefully at home in Hollister on Friday, May 20th. Her beautiful smile and warm heart will be missed by her loving husband of 37 years, Ron Rosellini; her mother, Corky Delisle of Aptos; her brother Tony Fitzgerald of Santa Cruz; and by countless friends, family in faith and Bible students with whom she shared Bible truths. We are glad that you were among them… Lynn Fitzgerald was born in Worchester, Massachusetts, on June 7, 1955 to Claudette (call her Corky) Gentile, (now Delisle). Her early life was spent in roller skating arenas, where she developed a special talent. Her mom taught her and her brother Tony, and both won numerous competitions. They moved to California in 1960, and settled in the area of Santa Clara. Skating even took them to the old skate arena in San Juan Bautista. Thru her school years, Lynn had a special appreciation for sincere faithful friends. In 1976, she came to know a special friend- Jehovah God, and, after studying the Bible, dedicated her life to him and was baptized in Oakland, Ca. on July 17, 1976. During this time, another friendship developed- Ron Rosellini; one that would last over 40 years. It is true- he was drawn to her dimples, large brown eyes, and sweet laugh; but it was her love and appreciation for Jehovah, her caring for others, and zeal for right that made her a precious jewel. They were married on November 4, 1978. Some highlights during their marriage: • Month-long car trip throughout Western US • Serving as regular pioneers (full-time preachers) from 1982-1990 • Going to Hawaii and Caribbean with her parents-in-law, Roy and Marge • Moving to Hollister in 1989, living in a cozy home with her flowers and cat • Working with her mom making beautiful flower arrangements • Travelled to Texas and to Idaho to preach where others rarely hear Bible truths What were some of her interests and hobbies? Cooking was one of her interests; just to mention a few favorites: cheesecake, chicken cacciatore, even grilled cheese sandwiches. She cared for her garden, arranged plants and flowers so that it made visitors feel they were in a mini paradise. Lynn also loved seeing an occasional ‘chick flick’. Although cats were her favorite animal, she would take great pleasure watching birds in the backyard, especially hummingbirds. Lynn was not always blessed with the best of health, and though it limited her activity, she kept her integrity to the end. She made efforts to keep her friendships strong, even though far away, and kept close for many years; but also reached out to those in need of friends. When it became certain her health was declining, she expressed her desire to see all her friends again in paradise. Her last wish- “don’t let anyone or anything take your forever away”. ------------------------------------ Her favorite scriptures written in the back page of her Bible: • 1 Corinthians 10:21 speaks of ‘the table of Jehovah’- meetings is an opportunity to have a meal w/ Jehovah • Jeremiah 29:11 “to give you a future and a hope” • Jeremiah 10:10 “Jehovah is the living God” • Proverbs 19:20 “listen to counsel and accept discipline, in order to become wise in your future” Acts 24:15 And I have hope toward God,... that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. John 5:28, 29 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 4:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2410 Fallon Road, Hollister, CA 95023
