Obituary of Carmen M. Saenz

Carmen Medeles Saenz, 88 of Hollister, CA, passed away on October 6, 2019 in Gilroy, CA.

Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Church on October 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ron Green officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1100 Hillcrest Rd. in Hollister, CA. Visitation will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on October 10, at 4:00.  Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Carmen was born in Tulare, CA to Pablo Medeles and Helen Riesgo on April 8, 1931.  She worked as a farm worker for several years. She also worked at Ridgemark in housekeeping and K & S Market in the bakery department.  She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was involved in the Community Food Pantry for many years.

Carmen is survived by her daughter, Marsha Saenz-Cuellar of Hollister and husband Robert Cuellar, her siblings Juanita Medeles, Frank Martinez, Dolores, Margie and Ruby Alvarez, her grandchildren Amanda Saenz, Stephanie (Chapman), David A. Cuellar and various nieces and nephews, great grandchildren Tyler Saenz and Jordan Sanchez.  She is preceded in death by her mother Helen R. Alvarez, her son Anthony Saenz and her brother Tommy R. Medeles.
