One of the men of the greatest generation. Like Chuck my father is a Pearl Harbor survivor. I met Chuck a few years ago when my friend Greg bought a house on his street. I had the delight to meet both him and his wife. He showed me his man cave with all his Pearl Harbor memorabilia. After talking a bit we realized that not only both my dad Edward Killeen USMC and Chuck were on the same ship but the crows nest where my dad was at during the attack the morning of Dec. 7th 1941 was Chuck's post. The coincidence of this still amazes me anytime I think about it. My dad passed in 2014, now they can sit on a cloud and remember how they got out of such a tragic day as that and remember their buddies that didn't make it and the few fun times on leave. The nation today takes a loss, and every day that follows as the ol' WWll vets pass away. They and maybe their children are the ones that knew right and wrong and good work ethics. God bless our vets past and present. Chuck you were a good man, proud to have sat in your garage and listened to you tell me about your life.
P.S. He gave a book about his Pearl Harbor experience if you want a copy email me and i'll send you a copy if you just cover the copies cost and postage.

My Condolences to Toni and family of Chuck,
What a ray of sunshine Chuck was. Always a friendly smile, a hug and a " how are you doing kiddo ".
I loved seeing Chuck & Toni together on Sundays a church. He would have a colored shirt that complemented whatever color Toni would be wearing. I always thought they were such a cute couple.
I remember times, when Chuck was working ,and he would see me out running, he would drive past me
and wave as he drove by.
I will remember that warm smile and his humor. Resting in arms of the Lord. God Bess you Chuck. Prayers for Toni and family at this time.
