Obituary of Miguel Hernandez

Miguel (Mike) Hernandez passed away in Hollister, California on September 15th, 2019 at the age of 65 years.

Mike was the father of Michael Hernandez and Vincent Hernandez; brother to David Hernandez (Barbara), Marty Duran (Sal), Sylvia Brooks (David), Letty Purcell and Sheila Gonzalez (Marcus); and grandfather to 8 grandchildren: Vanessa, Joann, Kyanna, Deziree, Aiden, Michael III, Alyah and Nathan. Mike also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends which he considered his extended family. He was an avid sports supporter of the SF Giants and his faithful SF 49ers.

He was preceded in death by his mother Inez DeHaro; spouse Lynne Hernandez and daughter Joanne Hernandez.

Donations may be made to the family c/o the mortuary or to the charity of your choice.

A Prayer/Vigil Service will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, September 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of the Resurrection at Sacred Heart Church will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
