I worked at Spring Grove school and Bill was head of the board for SOO many years. He was always supportive and appreciated our efforts in the classroom. It was always great to see his smiling face around the campus. And he was always smiling. He was an amazing guy, missed by all.

Debbie and Karen - I am so sorry to read about your father's death. I would have been there for his services and to support both of you, if I had known. The wonderful memories that me and my entire family have of the years spent with your grandmother and grandfather and all of you and your events growing up will never be forgotten. We have great memories of wonderful times in the lifes of the Soares and Hawkins families. Your Dad was a very special man and loving father to both of you. I am so very sorry that you lost him. I can assure you that my Mom, Dad ,Aunt Mary, your Mom, Grandpa Tom and Grandma Helen are sitting at a table in Heaven talking about all of us and laughing hard at all the crazy fun things that we all did while they were raising us. Dear Debbie & Karen,
I am so sorry to read of the loss of your father. But feel blessed that you had him for as long as you did.
Your father was the sweetest man. He was always the kind of father that I wished I had. He knew my father and they went on some big Boy Scout trip together. Your father was always so helpful to me when we were at shows and my father should of been helping me.

Debbie,
It is sad to hear of your loss. I enjoyed working and talking with your Dad over the years. Bill would greet me with a smile and went out of his way to say hi. He exemplified the old-time cattleman, hardworking, kind, conscientious and community minded. He was a fixture at the annual Saddle Horse Show and I will certainly miss his presence.

Bill was a sweet, gentle, and kind man. I admired the love and patients he exhibited raising his family, his tenacity, and the way he lived his life. I always enjoyed talking to Bill, he was a really good listener and never judgmental. He always made me feel that he was genuinely happy to see me. Bill has made a positive impact on many lives in our little town; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is with his beloved Marian now, dancing in the heavens. He will always be in our hearts and memories. Praying for comfort and peace for his family at this time of grief.

I was born and raised on the ranch. As i think back it was the best years if my life. Bill has been in my life for 72 years. I was at the rodeo a few months ago and had the best visit with him that i will treasure for the rest of my life. I love this man with all my heart and it will never be the same without him. I am so blessed i had so many wonderful times with him. He was an awesome man and true cowboy. Thank you Bill for your wonderful life. Happy Trails til we meet again.
