To the family,
My grandfather, Virgil Schnorf, and I are so terribly sorry to hear about the passing of sweet Ruth. She was such a beautiful woman and brought joy to so many lives. She had a giving, kind spirit, and a smile we will remember forever. I have many fond memories of my time spent with her. I can still recall when myself, and my cousins, used to trick or treat at her house as small children. Come to find out, we were her only Halloween visitors and she went out of her way to buy candy just for us. I also remember her and my grandmother Mary sampling jam and laughing together during the Santa Cruz County Fair. A couple weeks ago, I was visiting Ruth, helping her fix her phone. As I was playing with her phone, my cell phone started to ring. I answered and it was our real estate agent, saying our offer was accepted. Ruthy was the first to know, and I can still feel the hug she gave me that day. I could go on and jot down so many wonderful stories, but I won’t. She truly touched so many hearts. We are so thankful we were able to spend part of our lives making memories together. We hope you rest in paradise, Ruth. Sending our continuous thoughts and prayers to Ruth’s family during this difficult time.

Ruthy,
I am truly at a loss for words. Hearing about your passing has left me searching for the right words to say, but I can’t seem to fathom losing you. I will forever be grateful for all the memories and stories we have shared. Nothing made me happier than visiting you, helping you, and learning from you. You brought so much joy to my life, in ways you could have never imagined. You would refer to me as your granddaughter, and you were so much like a grandmother to me. You gave me little trinkets here and there, as a sign of gratitude, even though you didn’t need to. They will be cherished and kept near and dear to my heart forever. A beautiful locket, with an angel, is my absolute favorite. You were like an angel to me. Please continue to guide me and look over me as I try to make you proud down here! You will be missed so so greatly.
May your beautiful soul rest in paradise, as you’re reunited with Tom.
I love you, Ruth.
