Obituary of George Lewis Lawson

George Lewis Lawson passed away peacefully on August 16th, 2019, at the age of 90. Son of Gena Clyde Lawson and Perney Pauline Lawson of Summer Shade, Kentucky. At an early age he moved with his family to Detroit, Michigan and later joined the Army in 1948. When stationed in Japan he met his wife Kazuko Ishikawa, who recently passed away in 2017.  After his discharge from the Army, he moved to Watsonville, California with his family. In 1971 he relocated to Petaluma, California until 2010, living the remainder of his life in Fremont, California. His eldest son, George Yoichi Lawson passed away in 2011. He is survived by his brother David Allen Lawson, his son Glen Masaaki Lawson, nephew, daughter-in-laws, grand children, and great grand children.

Funeral services will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hollister on Monday, August 26th, 2019 at 11 am, followed by burial services at Calvary Cemetery at 12 pm in Hollister. Family and friends can pay their respects privately at Grunnage-Ament-Nelson Family Funeral Home on Monday, August 26th between 9:30 and 10:30 am.
