Happy Mother's Day Mom - Sorry, I didn't write yesterday. It was kind of a hectic day. I should have written last night. Sis came over and we had pizza and watched a couple of movies. We sure miss you Mom. Mike and I went to the cemetery to see Mommo. I am there at least three or more times a week. It is my favorite place to go. I miss her too. I know it was a grand reunion when the two of you met for the first time when you went to Heaven. I can't wait to see you and Mommo again. One day we will all be together, if I make it. Please put in a special request for me, if you can. Maybe, Mommo has some leverage too. LOL!! Mom...you are always in my thoughts and will never be forgotten until we meet again. Mike and I talk about the funny things you used to say. They make us laugh! Simon is still causing mischief. I haven't shipped him off yet, but I can stamp his ticket any day. Miss and love you Mom.

I have been crying many tears today Mom. I remember when I had to go back to Texas after your first stroke in 2015 and I started to cry, because I didn't want to leave you. I was soaking your feet and you seemed so helpless. You told me please don't cry "honey." That was the first time you had ever called me honey. You had never used that term of endearment before. It broke my heart to leave you that day and every time after. Your passing has left a void and an emptiness that I can never fill. I like to look at the younger pictures of you, because you seem the happiest then. I can see the joy you once had and it was beautiful. I think of you everyday Mom and I love you beyond words. Mike misses you terribly, but he doesn't talk about it much. He is doing OK, but of course you already know this. Until we meet again on that beautiful shore in the sweet by and by, I will send you all of my love. Please tell Mommo I miss and love her too. Your loving daughter ~ Sheila Jane

Mom - I went to the beach on Sunday to be alone and think about you. I had many good times in Monterey and some lonely times too, but it's a beautiful place and I feel closer to God. Mike and I drove to that park the last time we were there. The one near my old apartment where we all had that picnic. That little dump has been torn down and rebuilt. We miss you Mom and it's still empty here with you gone. Not a day goes by that Mike and I don't talk about something you would say or do. I still crack up over that sound you would make when I would talk about how I needed to lose weight. That will keep me laughing until I see you again. My regret is still that I couldn't make your pain go away. I would have given anything. All my love Mom....until I see you again!

Mom - I Looked at your HS yearbooks and found your Rebekah's group photo I had been trying to locate. I tried to find an obituary for your best friend Christine on the internet. Then I tried to find any trace of her still living. I wish I had asked you, if her family was from Texas. It seems you talked about her moving away after graduation, but I don't know if you ever tried to contact her again. Your classmates wrote nice things about you in your yearbook. Despite the hardships you had to overcome in your personal life living with an abusive father, it seems you fostered a loving relationship with Christine who clearly cared for you per her entry in your senior yearbook. She wrote that you had a wonderful family that helped her through her illness. I miss you Mom and there is not a day or hours that goes by that I don't think about you. Faye wrote on her FB that, if you don't understand why someone can grieve so deeply for so long and not get passed the grief....then just be glad you don't understand. This is so poignant. No one can tell someone else when to stop grieving or how long they are supposed to grieve. You told me that the day Mommo died was the worst day of your life. I now understand what you meant. No matter how happy I am that you are whole again and rejoicing with Mommo in Heaven, I would start 2018 over again and make it better. I should have taken you to the beach like the time we went to Santa Cruz that one year I had a rental car or just convinced you to get out of the house. I should have done more. I am sorry!!! My heart is forever broken and the tears will never stop until I see your beautiful face again. I love you!!!

Mom..not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Yesterday, was two months since you left us. I don't care how far back I have to go, I will always find your beautiful face and post how much I miss and love you as long as your page is still here. I know with time my tears will dry and the memories of you taking us to the old High School swimming pool during the summer and Bolado Park or Santa Cruz for the day and trying to fill our childhood with adventures with what little you had will resonate.
