I would like to send you my deepest sympathy for the passing of your loved one. I worked with Sam at the old Nob Hill/Mission Food. Everyone just loved this man as he was caring and got in and helped wherever needed. Everyone really cared for this gentle man.
He respected people and was very conscientious. He truly was a genuine person and good friend. When he would be outside working at his place, my Dad and I would stop by and visit with him. Rest in peace, dear Sam.

My Condolences to the Family of Sam
Oh my gosh so many fond memories of our Grandmother Florence Sliva Ranch on Santa Ana Rd. with the kindness, helpful, hard working and Spritual Shingai family next door. They helped harvest Grammys fields, and we helped them harvest theirs. When Grammy was not feeling well Sam and his Wife would bring homemade tea and lay healing hands upon her. I believe to this day that Grammy lived to be 98 yrs old because of their strong belief. Intergrity, honesty, Kindness, empahty was Sam. Was so blessed to have Sam stop in while I was in business over the years, always sharing his funny respectful Jokes. Since his passing Sam is thought about daily in reflection.

Our condolences to the Shingai family. We looked forward to the visits Sam made to our farm over the years, always with a smile and great stories. A hard working man, in his retirement days he would pick up all of the recycling at our farm on a weekly basis, always leaving a treat for our kids, and a gift from his garden. The rose bushes in front of our house he gave us are still growing strong. Sam, rest in peace.
Respectfully,
Frank and Melinda Casillas

To the family of Sam Shingai - What a wonderful man to know. We had the honor of meeting Mr. Shingai while working at Cal-Agra in Hollister. Sam would brighten our day and bring us the most beautiful bounty from his garden. Such a loving and caring man. Our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed. God bless the family of Sam Shingai. He was a wonderful friend of our grandmother, Nina Falconi and Uncle Carl Falconi. We have great memories of the Shingai family. During our summer visits to Hollister, we cut apricots together while listening to Giants games on their transistor radio. A wonderful time in our lives.
Sam, may you rest in peace. You are a big part of our memories of Hollister when we where kids.
To the Shingai family, we love you.
