In 1981, (every Friday) he came to Tres Pinos school & played music for the children. I remember he taught us. “Scat” singing. After school, Miss Johnson, the principal, Miss Stammon & I would gather around singing songs especially our gym “My Favorite Things..” He loved sharing music & inspired others to love it in their lives! I think he retired & we missed those times. I’m so pleased he lived a long life filled with the love of music!! Earlene Mitchell Perry Thank you, Mr. Larson

Mary Pat & Cathy:
Sending my thoughts to all of you. I will never forget coming to your home on San Benito Street to take piano lessons from your Dad. In church everyone loved it when he would play - no one could play the Methodist Church organ like he did.
I can remember signing in the church junior choir (many years ago) and he would come practice with us, he would make us laugh when we were getting tired. He gave so much with his amazing talent. What a wonderful life filled with music.

Mary Pat and Cathy,
You both know how important, and how loved, Jody was with my family. So many of my childhood memories are tied up with your father, and they are all precious. He was a strong role model for me; his humour, generosity and encouragement for others had a profound influence on my life.
I know you will miss him, but please also celebrate a life of outstanding contribution to community and friends. I will see you both in due course - until then please extend my thoughts to Fran, Roger and Kurt.

I first met Jody in the mid50s. It was obvious then, and became even more so as the years passed, that he was an exceptional human. I'm richer for knowing him.

My condolences to Mr. Larson's family. He was my music teacher at San Juan Elementry. I enjoyed being in his class because of his kind nature. When I worked at San Benito County Free Library, Mr. Larson was a regular that we were always happy to see. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Mr. Larson.
