Obituary of Josephine Mary Rose

Josephine Mary (Bebe) Rose (nee Ghione) 97 of Hollister, CA passed away peacefully on May 25th at the Mabie Northside Skilled Nursing Facility

Josephine was born in San Jose, CA to Frank and Mary Ghione June 7th, 1921.  She went to Hollister High School.  She married Joseph G. Rose April 26, 1944.  She worked as a bookkeeper for the Hollister School System, the City of Hollister Probation Department and an insurance company.  She was involved in many organizations.  She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband Joe after they retired and was a loyal SF Giants fan.

Josephine is survived by her son, Dennis Rose (Linda-Ann) of Salinas, CA. Her grandchildren, David (Diana), Holly (Jaime) and Mark. Great grandchildren, Nicolas, Jacob, Avarie, Hailey, Joseph and Benjamin.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased in death by her husband Joseph.  Her bothers and sisters, Peter, Annie, Louie, Esther, Frank, Mary, Rena and Eugene.  Her son David Rose, daughter-in-law Virginia and grandson Joseph W. Rose.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.  The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Hazel Hawkins and the angels at Mabie Northside.  Josephine had a “Giant” spirit and great sense of humor as all who knew her would attest.

Memorial Service will be held at Grunagle-Ament-Nelson Family Funeral Home and Crematory at eleven o’clock, Saturday June 8th , 2019.
