Being raised by a grandmother and without my parents around, I felt Ruby was like another mother to me. It was always fun to go to her house and be a part of a really large family. Ruby was happy, laughed easily, and always had a smile on her face.

I wish I could of met Ruby under different circumstances, but I'm thankful that Lucy let me into her home to help. I will forever remember watching the mariachis, looking for deer in the yard, trying to remember which baby went in which hand, and yelling at the kid in the movie who was throwing a fit. I loved seeing her smile and her little voice when she would say "see you later." Ruby you will forever be in my memories, rest peacefully.

Dear Family - It is with a sad and heavy heart I send my condolences. I have many fond memories of Aunt Ruby over the years. She had such a gentle spirit, a sweet and loving heart. My last memory was of her and my dad (her brother) visiting and laughing together. Then they both fell asleep; heads tilted back, mouths open and eyes closed - makes me smile. I find comfort in knowing they are now together with the rest of the family members that have gone before them.
Thinking of each of you as you Celebrate Aunt Ruby's life and grieve the loss of like without her. Praying you will find comfort and peace - hold on to each other; family is what life is all about.
