Obituary of Anna Marie Teves

Please share a memory of Anna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anna Marie Teves passed away on February 21, 2019.  Anna Marie was born on November 11, 1948 in Hollister California to Manuel and Mary Albert.  She grew up living in the San Juan Valley where her father was an orchardist.  She graduated from Olympia Elementary School, San Benito High School and attended Gavilan College.  Anna married the “Love of her Life” Manuel Teves on July 1, 1967.  She and Manuel became the proud and delighted parents to two children.  Anna was employed with Pacific Scientific in Hollister starting in the early 1980’s until her retirement.  She was a dedicated employee and enjoyed her time with the company.

Most important to Anna was her family.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She never forgot a birthday or holiday.  She welcomed her grandchildren with open arms.  Her grandchildren adored their Grammy.

In her spare time she enjoyed reading, sewing, movies, and travel and was a fabulous cook.

Ann was a member of YLI (Young Ladies Grand Institute), Friends 4’Ever, St. Benedict Church and the S.D.E.S Portuguese Community.  She was very proud of her Portuguese heritage.

Anna is missed and survived by her husband of 51 years, Manuel, her daughter Diane Teves of Hollister and son Steve (Cathy) Teves of San Jose, her grandchildren Eric and Jacob Teves of Hollister and Sydney and Samantha Teves of San Jose.  She is also survived by her sister Valerie Dennehy of Hollister, her brothers-in-law Howard Teves of Texas and Bobby Teves of Okinawa.  She is also survived by her nephews, their spouses and children and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, brother-in-law Charlie Teves and her son-in-law Mike Lee.

A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Benedict Columbarium.
