I loved Mary! I met Mary in 2003, shortly after her 80th birthday. She was so vibrant, active and independent. She still cleaned her own home and cooked her own meals, although she was certainly willing to go out to lunch! She had a gardener, but still weeded and trimmed her flowers whenever she felt well enough. The story of her life was fascinating; she was truly a Pajaro Valley pioneer. She loved to dance and laugh and tell stories from her youth about pushing the boundaries of how young ladies were "supposed" to behave. She treated employees, clients and friends alike, with warmth and respect. Family obligations and my husband's illness have kept me from visiting her the last couple of years, and she was no longer well enough to go out much, but she knew I loved her dearly. My deepest condolences go to Clemmie and the Lico and Greco families on the loss of such a wonderful soul. I will miss her forever.
(So sorry we could not attend her memorial this morning, but my husband had an important cardiologist appt. at the same time.)

Our Aunt Mary loved all of us nieces & nephews. She virtually lived her life for us. She was so devoted to those she loved. She didn't mince words & she was VERY plain spoken. At the same time she had one of the most tender & loving hearts I've ever known. God bless you Aunt Mary & take a little break before you take up guardian angel duties. We will carry you in our hearts forever & we thank you for your belief in all of us. You showed us all, how to do the right thing & you leave behind a great legacy. You saw the good in everyone, even when they couldn't see it for themselves. Your encouragement pushed us beyond our own self expectations, but you were never surprised, because you gave us the courage to rise above many of our limitations. We will miss you greatly.
