Dear Mrs Kromminga, I am sorry to read of the death of your loving husband. He sounds like he was truly well loved by many. I don't remember him but I remember you Mrs Kromminga and your daughter Manya from Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and from Kindergarten at Webster School here in Omaha. Manya and I both wore our hair in bangs and two pigtails. I attended her funeral at Our Saviour's. She was my best friend. If I grew up and had a girl I planned to name her Manya. I was happy to see a grandchild of yours was named Manya. But I only had boys and named them Matthew and Marcus. I have lost Matthew and my first husband so I do know the pain of those losses. Praying for you, and all your family, and wishing you peace in the knowledge we will all meet again one day.
Sincerely, Sharon Buckles Lusero, PhD

Aunt Dorthy, Amaya and Brad, wow, It's been a long time. I am truly sorry for your loss. I know Uncle Eddie will be missed and never forgotten. Sounds like his service in the military was probably around the same time as my mom (Margaret/Peg) and dad’s (AL Sr.) Eddie had a good run at 95. May his soul rest in peace. My most sincere condolences, Alfred Jr.

Dorothy and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Ed. We know how special he was to his family and was a common topic of conversation within our family. We’ve enjoyed hearing all the stories of my parents visits with your family and the amazing time they’ve always had. Although we have never met, we feel like you are a part of our family and with that, we feel your loss today. Stay strong and God bless.

Our "Uncle Eddie" is one of the most respected and loved persons our family has ever known and he will always, always, be remembered for the truly kind and gentle person he was to everyone who knew him. While he was without a doubt a hero to all of us for his service to our country during WWII and for all that he endured in that war, he was even a bigger hero for us in how he interacted with each of us personally from the time we first knew him and continuing throughout his life. Such a remarkable and Great Man!!! He will truly be missed!!! May God Bless You Uncle Eddie and Thank You for being a part of our lives!!! We Love You!!!
To Aunt Dorothy, Amaya, Steve, Manya, Brad, and Janet, we send you our sincerest sympathy and love at this most difficult time, knowing how proud each of you must feel having been blessed to have known and lived with this most remarkable man!!! You all are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time for each of you!!!
With Love,
Sid & Brenda & Family

Condolences to the family of this American hero. I appreciated the opportunity to tell a small part of his story to the citizens of Eden Prairie so many years ago during Memorial Day ceremonies. It was such an honor. He will always be remembered.

Good Journey Dad - you were the gentlest person I've ever known. Always a gentleman, always kind, always worked very hard and always enjoyed everything life had to offer. I will continue to feed the birds, enjoy planting flowers and watching them grow and work very hard at being just like you in every way. I love you.
