I loved Tia more than I can say. Meeting her when she arrived at Mabie was one the best parts of going there. I will miss her smile and her wonderful attitude. I am heartbroken that I will not see her again. She always looked beautiful.

Jim and family, you have my deepest sympathies. I only met Tia a few times, when I accompanied Cassie and Betty to California, but they were memorable experiences. The first time I met her was in Orange County, she had recently been bitten by a black widow spider and I was in awe (being from Ohio I thought that was impressive). Later, when she was living with Billy, she told us she showered and dressed and put on her face right away because you just never knew what the day would bring and she wanted to be ready for it! She was a beautiful lady, so sweet and elegant with a zest for life, and so much fun. She introduced me to Mimi's Cafe, so, in her honor, Cassie and I will be going to the local Mimi's very soon.
Sincere Condolences,
Cassies 'sister from another mother',
Karen

I just wanted to tell you again how sorry I am in the loss of your Mom. She was a beautiful lady and one of my favorite aunts.
I remember when we were living with you guys in Santa Barbara (I must have been about 6) and she sent me down to the corner store to pick up a can of Boston baked beans. I felt really grownup but once I got to the store I couldn't remember what I was supposed to pick up...probably because I had never heard of them before. I ended up getting a can of Boston brown bread! She laughed and laughed when I showed up with that!
I always admired her sense of fashion and I loved all of her springolator shoes with the really high heels. She always made me feel so special and loved.
She also taught me how to love avacados and pull them off the tree, cut them in half, add a little salt and pepper and eat it with a spoon. And of course she helped cultivate my love of dessert!
She holds a special place in my heart and I will miss her and getting the pictures of her you would send to me.
Love and prayers to you dear cousin....Cassie
