Obituary of Joseph William Leakey

November 8, 2018, we said goodbye to our husband, father, friend, Joseph William Leakey. He passed very quickly and peacefully at home.

Joe was born September 2, 1932, the youngest of three to Newton and Caroline Leakey in Newcastle Indiana. He lived most of his life in sunny California where he and his young wife, Mary, moved early in their marriage. They raised 3 children, Liz, Linda and Rich, always imparting lessons of working hard, loving life, and never giving up.

Joe really loved life. He had lots of hobbies but mostly he loved being around people and experiencing all life could offer. He was blessed in life with many friends in work and in play. He will be greatly missed but we all hope that those who knew him will remember his love of life.

He is greatly missed by his wife, Mary, his sister, Marcia, his children, Liz (& Mark), Linda, Rich (& Doreen), his 5 Grand Girls, and many other family and friends.

Services will be private.
