Obituary of Anthony Peter Azzarello
Anthony Peter Azzarello, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at his home in Hollister, California surrounded by his family. He was born to August Azzarello from Italy, and Frances D’Angelo from San Francisco, California. He is preceded in death by Virginia (Francis) Azzarello, his true love of 65 years.
He is survived by his son John Azzarello (Sue), and daughter Charlane' McDonald (Steve), grandchildren Matthew, Mark (Julie), Mary Batad (Peter), Anthony McDonald (Angelica), and great grandchildren Ryan, Jamison, and Marissa.
He proudly served his country in WW2 with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942 to 1945. He farmed and co-owned apricot orchards in Santa Clara Valley, co-owned and operated a storage yard in Watsonville, California and owned the Arena Mobile Home Park in Chowchilla, California.
His favorite pastime was playing his baby grand piano and working in the garden. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a father and grandfather to be proud of. His laughter, compassion and love for life was contagious. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Interment at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery will be private.
