Frances Ellingwood

Obituary of Frances Mable Ellingwood

Francis Mable Ellingwood, 80, founder of the 48 year old Red Barn Flea market on the 101 highway has gone to join her mother in heaven. She is survived by her partner in life and business, Ken Mcphail and brother John Sargenti. Ken was holding her hand, listening to 50's music and watching the ocean from their beach house when she passed. Ken would like to thank Erica and Hospice for their excellent care.

Fran was known worldwide for her business savvy, having owned a TV station at 18 years old, hauling palm trees into Disney Land during building, and fighting the bureaucrats to keep her and Ken's Red Barn open.

A wake will be held for her friends and flea market venders at the Red Barn flea market. Rest in peace with your mother Fran. You had a great and wonderful life.

Call Red Barn at 831-682-7582 for wake information. Ask for Rafaela.
